The narrow-gauge Rhaetian Railway
line between Tirano (Veltlin) and St. Moritz (Grisons,
Switzerland) is an engineering masterpiece and is considered
one of the world's most beautiful stretches of railway
line.
From Tirano, the little red train winds its way over
Europe's highest alpine railway pass without rack and
pinion before dropping down to St. Moritz, offering spectacular
views from the comfort of a panoramic carriage.
